The Midwife of Venice

‘At midnight, the dogs, cats and rats rule Venice. The Ponte di Ghetto Nuovo, the bridge which leads to the ghetto, trembles under the weight of sacks rotting vegetables, rancid fat and vermin… It was on such a night that the men came for Hannah.’

Dear Friends, Relatives, Lovers of Venice, Midwives, and Impatient Fans.

At last! The much anticipated labour is over. The Midwife of Venice is born. My book hits the book shelves, both actual and virtual, today.

Canadians may purchase the book through Amazon.ca or Chapters Indigo either as an e-book or trade paperback. Independent bookstores in Vancouver such as Ardea Books – 2025 West 4th in Kitsilano  and Ben McNally Books at 366 Bay St.  in Toronto will also carry the book.

American readers can order The Midwife on Amazon.com as an e-book or, I am told, through Amazon.ca as a trade paperback.

Sceptics and cautious consumers can read the first chapter on my website: robertarich.com before plunking down their dough.

On February 16th I will be reading in Toronto at the Harbourfront Centre.

On February 17th the Bonnie Sterns Book club is featuring a Venetian dinner where I will be speaking on February 17th @ 6:00 p.m.

The West Coast launch will be in the Spring.
